Update 38 - trials reminder and training calendar for 2015/16

Thanks to loads of you for filling in trials applications, lots coming in across the age groups and seniors. A few days left to get the form completed, closing date 15th August. Please pass onto friends or colleagues where you know they're interested. I will continue to use this mailing list until we have a new list in the new season after trials. 

The World Cup is pretty inspiring stuff and those playing through the summer in Netball Nights league the teams are doing very well. Work is going on behind the scenes booking facilities, completing registration forms etc, ready for the new season. The frequency of these updates will pick up again! 

Heads up for next season for those trialling and joining......LANC training calendar 2015/16 is as follows: 

U12 & U14 & U16/senior Thursday night 
Training starts 3/9/2015 and finishes 17/12/2015
Training starts 7/1/2016 and finishes end April (TBC)
No breaks for half terms or Easter because of fixture commitments/ timing of nationals etc

U11 Sunday morning
Training starts 6/9/2015 and finishes 20/12/2015. No training on 1/11/2015 for half term
Training starts 10/1/2016 and finishes end April TBC. No training on 21/2/2016 or half term and 27/3/2016 for Easter

Hope you're enjoying the break. Good luck to those girls trialling for the various programmes in September and to those on England camp in September and on England duties. 

Few quick things to keep netball on the agenda through the summer. 

Well done to our U12s won were ball girls at the England Match that we hosted in Huddersfield last weekend. Great to see an almost full Yorkshire crowd watching some quality netball and to some club members play on that stage (Sally, Nat, Lydia, Jess). 

Well done to our members who played in the NPFL tournament last weekend, Yorkshire came second to a strong North West in this national U17 tournament. 

Well done to our teams in Netball Nights league, both are doing very well and this is superb netball experience for the younger girls playing against ladies.

Trial entries for club are coming in pretty quickly, visit the TRIALS tab on Leeds Athletic Website if you haven't entered yet. Entry is online. Please pass this information onto friends who maybe interested. Next year promises to be an exciting time for the club, building on the success of this season, with more training time for most age groups, coaches using a system to profile players ( U14 and above) to ensure every player develops their potential, and a desire to do more tournaments etc. 

Watch the World Cup on Sky in August, should be some great netball played!
