Just a few matches this weekend. Seniors suffered their first loss of the season in WY Senior league, although they're still top of the table. In Premier league today, we had a good strong victory against Huccelcote, which means we're 4th in the table. A couple of narrow losses for Juniors today with our U12B and U11A losing to strong teams. U12A had a big win and remain top of the table. U14B had a good win against Hudds Giants B. Well done everyone.
COME AND WATCH THE REMAINING TWO PREM GAMES TO SUPPORT THE TEAM, SUNDAY 8TH AND SUNDAY 22ND MARCH - 12:30pm at Leeds Beckett, no tickets required.
NETBALL NIGHT LEAGUE
We've had a reasonable degree of success with this league both last summer and during the winter. It has been a great training ground for our younger players, especially when they have had the odd adult playing in with them. We're looking to enter two teams for summer - matches April-September. SENIORS - PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE UP FOR PLAYING THE ODD GAME.
If you haven't booked your place yet, do so before places run out. Details on the news page for Easter camps and for workshops.
ENGLAND NETBALL CHARITY COLLECTION REMINDER
England Netball partner with a charity each year and collect through netball matches. Cancer Research UK is the charity. We'll just collect 50p per player per match at one match this week or in next couple of weeks. if captains/parent helpers can collect and pass the money to me in an envelope we will submit this as a club and let you know how much we raised in total.
JETS - MONDAY IN HUDDERSFIELD
It's the live Sky game between 3rd and 4th place, we take on Hertfordshire Mavericks, with a sell out crowd, at the University of Huddersfield at 7.45pm.
Watch the game live on Sky Sports 4 on Monday evening with the build-up from 7.30pm - and look out for a special feature on our very own Natalie Haythornthwaite ahead of the match. Warm up game is dozens of youngsters from the Huddersfield Giants Netball Club and Yorkshire Terriers Netball Club, plus a special workshop with Tamsin Greenway and Sasha Corbin (being filmed for Sky). See the Jets website for a great article with our very own Lydia Walker and head coach Anna Carter.
