Hattie Wins GB Netball Gold at Maccabiah Games! (added 05th August)
LANC player Hattie Grant (pictured extreme left, front row) was recently selected to represent Team GB at the 19th Maccabiah Games held during July in Israel. The Games are now the 3rd largest sporting event in the world, after the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games, and take place every 4 years in Israel.
The Maccabiah Games bring together Jewish athletes from around the world to take part in events from many sports such as rugby, gymnastics, cycling, athletics and rowing in junior, open and masters age groups. This year around 9,000 competitors from more than 70 countries took part, the GB delegation being made up of around 450 athletes. CLICK HERE to read more

Lucy Harris and Lydia Walker get England Call Up! (added 30 July 2013)
Three LANC players attended the recent England Camp held in Loughborough. Lucy Harris and Lydia Walker (both aged 17) had previously been selected for England u19 training and both were successful in being retained in the squad. Brie Grierson, age 16, (who has already represented England u17 at the 2013 European Netball Championships) was also successful in being retained in the u17 squad.
At the end of the Camp, Lucy and Lydia were delighted to find out that they had also been selected for an England Playing Squad to compete in a series of warm up international matches in the run up to the World Youth Netball Championships! These u21 Championships are being held in Glasgow, between 22nd and 31st August, featuring top class players from 20 countries around the World. Lucy and Lydia will compete in the warm up matches between 15th and 22nd August.
LANC Head Coach Anna Carter commented, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for Lucy and Lydia to play against quality teams from outside the UK. Styles of netball vary from country to country and this is a great way for junior players to gain international experience.’
