News Bulletin - 01 April

Picture
Results from the weekend and league placings where we have them. From the seniors...

- Our seniors finished a very creditable 5th in Premier League 1, halfway in the league table and with a place safe for next season.
- In Northern league, we finished 3rd place, just three points off 2nd.
- In Senior Regional League, we finished a close 2nd to HiTech and with a good lead on 3rd place team
- In the top WY senior league (Superleague), we finished 2nd, again to HiTech. We only lost one game out of 18.

Well done to all the senior squad and to some of the u16 who have regularly played up into senior teams. Big thanks to Maggie, Anna, Jan, Kylie, Kirsty, Jane, Clare etc for coaching and support to get people to the right place and all the right registrations etc!

Starting at the younger end. This has been a very strong performance right across all age groups. I managed to watch 3 out of our 4 u11/12 teams in Halifax last weekend and was mega impressed by the quality of play from the girls. Also, a special mention to the parents who have helped in u11/12 this year, who have needed to do more because Beccy has been covering four teams........big thanks being thrown in at the deep end!

- in HiFive, we've had two teams. U11A are unbeaten and top of league with two matches left. U11B are mid placed in the table, which again is great because this team is very young. Great experience ready for next season! Well done girls, many of you in your first season. A real credit to the club.
- in U12, again two teams. Incredibly strong unbeaten performance from the A team, finished top and their goal average is more than 6. The B team have finished 2nd in this league, which is amazing, especially because some of these girls are u11 age. Well done everyone, two teams through to the u12 festival on 8 June in Sheffield.
- in U14, in regional league, the team are unbeaten and top with 2 matches left to play. If performance continues, u14 will qualify for National Club champs and play in Sheffield over the weekend of 10/11 May. Well done girls, some very strong performances. Goal difference is +130. Thanks John for coaching the girls.
- in U16, in regional league, the team are unbeaten, with quite big margins in most games. Their goal difference is +181, impressive. Two more games remaining, next stop is National Club Champs near London on 24/25 May.

Thanks Jo for coaching the girls and Charlotte for all the paperwork!
